Hydro Jetting for Drains That Keep Clogging
High-pressure water scours grease, sludge and root debris off the inside of the pipe, so the line runs at full size again instead of through a narrow tunnel.
- Main sewer lines
- Kitchen drain lines
- Grease buildup
- Commercial lines

How it works
What Hydro Jetting Does
A jetting hose with a special nozzle goes into the drain through a cleanout. Rear-facing jets pull the hose forward and blast the pipe walls clean as it is pulled back, flushing everything downstream.
Because it cleans the full diameter of the pipe, jetting is the go-to for lines that clog over and over with grease and soap, for kitchen lines in restaurants and multi-unit buildings, and for flushing out roots after they have been cut.
- Removes grease, soap scum, sludge and scale
- Flushes out root debris after cutting
- No chemicals
- Often paired with a camera inspection before and after

Is it right for you?
When Jetting Helps, and When It Doesn’t
Good fit
Repeat clogs from grease and buildup; slow main lines with no break in the pipe; kitchen lines; lines cleared of roots that need flushing; routine maintenance on commercial kitchen drains.
Check first
Very old or fragile pipe, cast iron with heavy scale, or clay pipe with offset joints. A camera look first shows whether the pipe can take it.
Not the fix
A collapsed or broken pipe, a severe belly that holds water, or a separated joint. Cleaning buys time, but the pipe needs repair or replacement.

A Hydro Jetting Visit, Step by Step
Find access
We locate a cleanout, or another safe access point, for the line being cleaned.
Look first
Where the pipe’s condition is uncertain, a camera inspection checks it can be jetted.
Jet the line
The hose works through the line, scouring the walls and flushing debris to the sewer.
Confirm the result
We run water and, where useful, re-inspect with the camera so you can see the clean pipe.
FAQ
Hydro Jetting Questions
Is hydro jetting safe for older pipes?
For pipe in sound condition, yes. The pressure is set for the pipe size and material. Pipe that is already cracked, broken or badly corroded can be damaged, which is why older lines are checked with a camera first.
Is jetting better than snaking?
Neither is always better. Snaking is quick and effective for single clogs. Jetting cleans the whole pipe wall, so it lasts longer on grease and buildup. Many main-line jobs use both: a cable to open the line, then jetting to clean it.
Will hydro jetting remove tree roots?
Jetting with a cutting nozzle can cut and flush light roots, and it flushes debris after a cable has cut heavier roots. Roots grow back through the same joints, so lining or replacing the pipe is the permanent fix.
How long does hydro jetting take?
A typical residential main line takes a few hours, including setup and checking the result. Long or heavily blocked lines take longer.
Do restaurants need regular jetting?
Commercial kitchens often put a lot of grease into their drains, even with a grease interceptor. Scheduled jetting keeps lines open and helps avoid backups during service.
