FAQ
Commercial Plumbing Questions
Do you work after business hours?
Ask when you call. For restaurants and offices, work outside opening hours is often the least disruptive option; we will tell you what is available.
How often should a restaurant’s grease trap be cleaned?
It depends on the size of the trap and the kitchen’s volume. Many are pumped on a set schedule; local rules may set requirements. Keeping it maintained prevents backups and odors.
Can you help with code requirements for a tenant build-out?
Plumbing for a build-out is permitted and inspected. We work from the drawings and pull the plumbing permit for our scope.
Do commercial buildings in Ann Arbor need backflow testing?
Many do, depending on the systems in the building. The city’s cross-connection program identifies devices that need periodic testing by a certified tester.
